Molar

Brady has been a crab this week and I thought it could be a teething issue. The bump on his cheek confirmed this morning that he is getting his first molar.

Lately we have been spending a lot of time looking out the patio door longing to go outside.

Now that Brady is walking he doesn't stop moving. He figured out how to go down stairs now so we go up and down all day. Troy taught him how to go down the slide at the indoor play area and he LOVES it. He went down no less than 30 times Sunday. He has been sick this week with his 1st ear infection, and even that hasn't slowed him down.

He definitely has an opinion about things-especially books. We started giving him options and he is more than happy to let you know which book he wants. He then crawls up on my lap and will sit for as long as I will read.

Walking

Brady took his first unassisted steps over the weekend. Of course, I missed it because I was in Chicago, but Troy managed to get some video.

Toddler

I keep getting these email updates saying "Your Toddler" and I wonder who they are talking about? They couldn't possibly be referring to my little man. Alas, Brady is trying to tell me too. He's made big strides towards toddler-hood these last few days.

• He's really close to walking. He started taking a few steps behind toys this week.
• He's standing in his crib. Took him forever to figure it out, but now he fights every nap and bedtime.
• I swear he said "NO" yesterday when I was chasing him trying to put his pants on.
• He got his first haircut last weekend
• He will hand me a "yucky" thing he finds on the floor. He's so proud when he finds something to give me.
• He stacks and moves toys from bucket to bucket. Last night he moved 4 socks between two buckets for 15 minutes.
• When I ask him for his pacifier in the morning he hands it to me.

12 Months

11 Months

It was sometime this month I realized I was no longer dealing with a baby. He is a little boy who is on a mission to destroy this house one room at a time. He figured out how to climb stairs and has started walking while holding onto furniture. He throws food when he doesn't want it. He squeals when he is unhappy and pushes books away when he is bored. I  can hardly blame him for the attitude because I am pretty sure he got it from me.
